Mr Fogg wagers his friends ₤2 000 that he can get around the world in 80 days, which would have been hard back in his time (1800s) because there was no such thing as a plane, so people had to take boats, bikes and any other type of transport available. A Scotland Yard detective is on his trail, though, because an important bank in London has just been robbed and Mr Fogg looks like just the right suspect. Around the world in 80 days is an entertaining book that I guarantee will have everyone wanting to read more!

Have Courage, Hazel Green!
Hazel Green overhears Mr Davis saying to Mr Egozian, the cartaker that he doesn't like Mr Egozian's type of person. She is appalled, and goes to all lengths to fix Mr Davis's mistake. She even has a fake fight in front of Mr Davis with her Russian friend, a mathematics freak called Yakov. She is unfortunately overheard by the biggest tattletale and exaggerator in the whole building (Hazel lives in a block of apartments called the Moodey Building). A story gets spread that Hazel actually tried to strangle Yakov and almost killed him, had it not been for Mr Davis jumping in to the rescue. No one believes her truthful sideof the story. As a punishment, she is banned from going to the Frengels (the kind old delicatessers) party. Hazel being Hazel, she goes to the party with Yakov, who didn't want to go, and Mr Egozian, who wasn't allowed to go, being just a caretaker. She angers Mr Davis, making him shout into the microphone saying, "I don't like your kind of people, Mr Egozian," to prove that Mr Davis did actually say that. A happy ending for Hazel, maybe not so much for Mr Davis!
